A licensed veterinarian must complete the Veterinary Certificate for Paraguay prior to travel. The health certificate must be translated into Spanish.
An import permit is not required when entering Paraguay with personal pet.
All pets should enter Paraguay via Silvio Pettirossi International Airport.
Airlines and shipping lines have their own policies and requirements for transporting pets. Check with your airline or shipping representative to determine what requirements they may have.
Canada does not have an Export certificate for pets with Paraguay. Therefore, be certain to have your dog vaccinated with Rabies shot 10 days before travel to Paraguay and fill out the Paraguayan form mentioned above. Please check with this Canada Health department for dogs:
